About Chipp Neckwear

Founded by Paul Winston in 2023 as an extension of the iconic American menswear institution Chipp ClothiersChipp Neckwear is dedicated to upholding the legacy of bold style, innovative design, and distinctive humor that has been synonymous with the Chipp brand since Winston's father established the family business and the "Go-to-Hell" look in 1945.

Tailor to a famous roster of figures from President John F. Kennedy to basketball great Wilt Chamberlain, Chipp gained a reputation for catering to clients with discerning tastes. The company was responsible for popularizing the preppy clothing canon with innovations like patch madras pants and embroidered corduroys.

Chipp closed shop in the early 1980s, but the Chipp name and ethos live on through a custom tailoring atelier called Winston Tailors, a range of ties created by Winston, known as Chipp Neckwear, and a new company dedicated to novelty undergarments called Chipp Boxers. Driven by an understanding that fashion is about catering to wants, not just needs, Paul Winston continues to provide products that diverge just a little from the conventional and that resonate with those who appreciate traditional craftsmanship and are not afraid to make a statement.
